A few years back, we first saw these Western Anemone wildflowers in Crater Lake. In our subsequent trips to the Pacific Northwest, we now see them everywhere, including in Mount Rainier National Park. They're such whimsical flowers that we call them Seussicals.
I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
