The forests in Great Smoky Mountains National Park come alive with shades of green in the summer. Light comes in and out of the forests throughout the day, bringing to life each plant in turn.

About Kelly VanDellen

Kelly VanDellen

I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
