When we noticed thick layers of pollen flying off the waist high grass as hiked along this trail, we knew we were really off the beaten path. In the height of the busy season in Yellowstone, it seemed no one had walked this way for days. Each step brought these dust clouds with them.

I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
