My wife and I were hiking a section of the Appalachian Trail in central Virginia early in the morning. We were talking away getting our miles in when I looked up and saw this beautiful glenn. This forest sums up so much of the AT experience of walking through the greenl tunnel.
About Kelly VanDellen
I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
