Hiking out to Reef Bay on St. John in the USVI isn't an easy experience but it is a worthwhile one. This twisted drift wood was sitting on the beach just out of reach of the baby sharks that were swimming around the calm, seaweed filled bay.

I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
