For years it seemed we would visit Glacier National Park after Going to the Sun Road was open but before the snow had fully melted along the Hidden Lake trail. We finally determined to visit in August and found fields of wildflowers, mountains goats, and this perfect sunset light.

I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
