Artist's Description

I honestly wasn't sure how this panorama would turn out when I took it. I saw the large tree to the left and really wanted to find a way to capture it along with the Appalachian Trail to the right side of the photo. The morning fog helped with atmospheric feel of the image as well.

About Kelly VanDellen

Kelly VanDellen

I am a photographer currently living in Athens, GA, but I prefer to be found in the woods. Or swimming with sea turtles. My photography centers around National Parks and wilderness areas with a broad range of regions, including the Smokies (the closest park to me), California (Joshua Tree, Death Valley), the West (Zion, Arches, Canyonlands, Bryce), and the Pacific Northwest (Redwoods, Crater Lake, Mount Rainier). I visit 5-20 parks every year and countless other recreational areas.
